Overview

Oyster Point Marina/Park is a small-craft harbor on the western shore of San Francisco Bay in South San Francisco. The City of South San Francisco owns the land, and the San Mateo County Harbor District has operated the marina and park since 1977. The District lists 408 berths on one page and 455 berths (26 to 60 feet) on its facilities page, so ask the harbor office for a current count. The 33-acre site, a former landfill, includes trails, picnic areas, a 2.5-acre sandy beach and a 300-foot fishing pier.

Launch ramp

The marina has a two-lane public launch ramp. The District's fee schedule (as of July 1, 2024) lists $15 per launch, in and out, and a $261 annual pass valid at all District-operated ramps, with a 20 percent discount for seniors 65 and older and disabled placard holders. Check the current schedule before you go.

Guest berths

A guest dock is among the services the District lists. Transient berthing is $0.78 per foot per day on the 2024 schedule, with multihulls at 150 percent. Dockwa does not list the marina, so call the harbor office to arrange a berth.

Hours and services

The marina and park are open to the public 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily, with staffed hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the harbor office open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Listed services include restrooms, hot showers, a boat wash and pump-out service by BayGreen, Inc. The District's page carries a notice that the fuel dock closed as of April 2, 2019, so confirm before counting on fuel. The District stopped funding the private security contract on January 1, 2023.
