About this boat ramp
Tahoe Vista Recreation Area is the North Tahoe Public Utility District's boat launch and beach park at 7010 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, on Lake Tahoe's north shore. It pairs a public launch with a three-and-a-half-acre sandy beach.
Launching here
The boat launch is seasonal, from Memorial Day weekend through October; check North Tahoe PUD for current launch hours. The lot has 20 boat-trailer spaces and 40 car spaces, there's a parking and day-use fee, and overnight parking isn't allowed. Every motorized boat needs a Lake Tahoe invasive species inspection and seal before launching. Tying up a boat requires North Tahoe PUD approval.
On the beach
The park is open dawn to dusk year-round, with restrooms, showers and a roped swim area. Tahoe Adventure Company rents kayaks and paddleboards from the beach. There are no dogs, glass, smoking, open flames or charcoal grills; propane grills are allowed except on Red Flag days.
