About this boat ramp

Pine Cove Public Boat Ramp is a Forest Service launch on Lewiston Lake, below Trinity Dam, about 5 miles north of Lewiston on Trinity Dam Boulevard.

The ramp

Lewiston Lake holds a nearly constant level, so the ramp works all year. There's a boarding float, about 36 trailer spaces, two fishing docks (one wheelchair accessible), a fish-cleaning station, four picnic sites with grills and two vault toilets. There's no drinking water.

Fishing

The Forest Service calls Lewiston Lake one of the state's best sport-fishing lakes. The state directory lists boats up to 24 feet.

Getting there & access

By road

From Weaverville take Highway 3 north 7 miles, turn right on Rush Creek Road for 9 miles, then left on Trinity Dam Boulevard for 5 miles.

Mussel rules

Arrive clean, drained and completely dry: at least 5 days dry if the boat was last used outside the area, or 30 days (or a professional decontamination) after waters with golden mussels. Show a signed Mussel-Free Self-Certification through the windshield.
