Mayflower Regional Park
Blythe, Riverside County, CA
Overview
Mayflower Regional Park is a Riverside County park on the California bank of the Colorado River at 4980 Colorado River Road, just outside Blythe and about 25 miles west of Quartzsite, Arizona. It's a public launch facility and riverfront campground run by Riverside County Parks.
The park
Mayflower has 152 RV sites with water and utilities plus 27 dry camping sites, three large picnic shelters, nine cabanas, BBQ areas, restrooms, showers and a dump station. There's a small on-site store, the Sandbar Shack, and lawn games from shuffleboard to volleyball.
Boating here
The park has a boat launch onto the Colorado River, which locals use for fishing, waterskiing, tubing and personal watercraft. Jet skis are allowed, but wake-zone limits apply near the park. The County warns of intermittent launch closures on Fridays because of low river levels, so call before you tow.
Hours and season
The park is open from 7 a.m. to sunset, with hours extended to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and holiday eves. Day-use areas close at sunset. Summer heat on this stretch of the river is extreme, so plan early starts.
Good to know
Generators aren't allowed at any time, and neither are drones, fireworks, firearms or ground fires.
Getting there & access
By road
The park is at 4980 Colorado River Road on the outskirts of Blythe, which sits on I-10 about 25 miles west of Quartzsite, Arizona.
Launching

On the river
