Status: temporarily closed. The City of Stockton closed the Louis Park boat launch on June 21, 2023, for the Smith Canal Gate flood-protection project, and it hasn't announced a reopening date.

What's next

The city has filed plans to replace the old boarding float and gangway with a low-freeboard dock for kayaks, canoes and other non-motorized boats, plus an accessible walkway and parking. No construction schedule has been posted.
