About this boat ramp

Cuttings Wharf is a public launch on Cuttings Wharf Road on the Napa River, south of Napa and next to the Napa-Sonoma Marshes.

The launch

There's a wide ramp and two high-freeboard docks; the north dock is popular for fishing. The state directory lists about 40 trailer spaces. Parking is free and open 4 a.m. to 10 p.m., with no overnight parking. There are two accessible restrooms without running water and picnic tables.

On the river

Don't land in the marshes, avoid narrow channels at high tide, and keep well away from bird colonies and rail habitat. Hunting is allowed in parts of the marshes, generally October through January.
