About this boat ramp

Status: closed indefinitely. The Bureau of Reclamation closed the Capell Cove Boat Launch because of staffing, per its August 31, 2026 notice. Boat launching is available at the lake's concession-operated sites.

Capell Cove is Reclamation's own launch and day-use area on [Lake Berryessa](/lakes/lake-berryessa), off Knoxville Road. The state directory lists restrooms and a picnic area.

Getting there & access

Closed

Capell Cove is closed indefinitely. Launch at a concession site instead.

Quarantine or decontamination

Every boat is inspected. An inspected boat gets a red seal and must wait 30 days, unless it's hot-water decontaminated by approved Solano County Water Agency staff. Ask for an exit seal when you pull out so you can launch freely next time.
