About this boat ramp

Brandy Creek Boat Launch is on the south shore of [Whiskeytown Lake](/lakes/whiskeytown-lake), past the Brandy Creek Beach entrance on J. F. Kennedy Memorial Drive. It's one of three launches on the lake, with [Oak Bottom](/marinas/oak-bottom-marina-whiskeytown) and [Whiskey Creek](/ramps/whiskey-creek-boat-launch-whiskeytown).

The launch

The Park Service lists a boat ramp and small-boat launch, a large lot with trailer and RV parking, a fish-cleaning station, accessible restrooms with flush toilets, drinking water and a picnic area on the water. Moorage and dry storage are available through Whiskeytown Marinas; the state directory also lists boat rentals, tackle and a snack bar.

When to go

The Park Service says Brandy Creek is usually less busy, so it's a good choice on summer weekends when other launches are crowded. Jet skis aren't allowed on the lake, and an entrance pass is required.

Getting there & access

By road

From Highway 299 at the visitor center, turn onto J. F. Kennedy Memorial Drive, cross the dam, and continue past the Brandy Creek Beach entrance to the launch sign.
