About this marina

Status: open, but heavy silt makes parts of the marina hard to use at low tide. As of August 2025 the city was applying for a 10-year dredging permit and still looking for money to dredge.

Vallejo Municipal Marina sits at 42 Harbor Way on the Mare Island Strait, at the north end of San Pablo Bay.

On the water

The state boating directory lists about 800 slips, fuel, pump-out, haul-out and repair, transient berths, laundry and showers.

Silt and the seawall

The marina was last dredged in 2018. A failing seawall lets river silt into the basin, so boats can sit in the mud at low tide and the fuel dock can't be reached at low water. In 2023 the Vallejo Sun reported about 30 percent of slips in use. The city has proposed a waterfront master plan with dredging, seawall repair and new public space.

Launch ramps

The public launch ramp on Curtola Parkway is separate from the marina and also has silt problems.
