Marina guide
Sacramento Marina and Miller Park Launch
Sacramento, Sacramento County, CA
Overview
Sacramento Marina, at 2710 Ramp Way in Miller Park, is the City of Sacramento's harbor on the Sacramento River, a few minutes from downtown. It bills itself as the largest marina on the Sacramento River and the only off-river dockage in the area, with about 475 vessels berthed in sizes from 25 to 55 feet. Miller Park's public boat ramp, 60 by 90 feet, is beside the harbor.
Inside the harbor
The harbor speed limit is 3 mph, or no-wake speed. Engines may not be run in gear while docked, and main engines and machinery may not run between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. except when entering or leaving a berth. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The marina is patrolled around the clock and has five electronically locked gates. Swimming is not allowed, and nobody may live aboard a vessel here.
Fuel, guests and ramps
The fuel dock is typically open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with seasonal changes, and the pump-out station is at the fuel dock. Guest vessels pay in advance for an overnight dock, with a 30-day maximum stay unless the director approves more. The city's launch ramps are Miller Park and Garcia Bend, and both are covered by the same annual or nine-month launch passes.
Good to know
A city notice filed in September 2025 covers ramp and floating-dock repairs at Miller Park, so check with the marina office before you tow in.
Getting there & access
By water
The harbor is off the Sacramento River, a few minutes from downtown Sacramento. Inside the marina the limit is 3 mph or no-wake speed, and engines may not be run in gear while docked.
Miller Park ramp
Miller Park's boat launch ramp, a 60 by 90 foot concrete ramp with a courtesy dock, is at the marina. The marina rules set a 200-foot restriction zone around the Miller Park and Garcia Bend ramps. The state listing shows no trailer parking at the marina itself, so check with the city for ramp parking.
Launch passes
The city sells annual unlimited ($125) and nine-month ($100) passes good at Miller Park and Garcia Bend. The nine-month pass runs from the day after Labor Day through the Friday before Memorial Day. Low-income passes are half price and require ID plus a Medi-Cal or EBT card. Passes are bought at City Hall Revenue Services, 915 I Street, Room 1214, or by mail.
Guest dock
A guest dock is available. The 2025 marina handbook lists an overnight dock fee of $50 per night, payable in advance, with a 30-day maximum stay unless the director approves an extension. Call the office at (916) 808-5712.

Common boat service needs here
Mechanical service for river boats
Sacramento River debris and silt are hard on cooling systems and propellers. About 475 boats berthed here mean steady demand for engine and drive service.
