Marina guide
New Melones Lake Marina
Angels Camp, Calaveras County, CA
Overview
New Melones Lake Marina is the concession marina at the Glory Hole Recreation Area on New Melones Lake, at 6503 Glory Hole Road outside Angels Camp. It's the place to rent a boat, take a slip, buy fuel or pick up supplies on this Bureau of Reclamation reservoir.
Why it matters more than usual
New Melones requires gas-powered boats to finish a 30-day out-of-water quarantine with a red bow-eye seal before launching, a rule meant to keep invasive golden mussels out. The marina offers the main shortcut: a decontamination wash, by reservation and for a fee, that gives same-day launch access. If you're bringing a boat from another lake, book that wash before you leave home.
What's here
The marina rents boats and watersports gear, rents slips, and sells fuel, ice, tackle and convenience-store goods. The state boating facilities listing also shows haul-out and repair, dock power and water, and a sewage and bilge pump-out. The Glory Hole Point public launch ramp and Glory Hole campgrounds are next door.
Good to know
Lake levels and ramp hours change through the year, so confirm marina hours and decontamination availability directly before you tow.
Getting there & access
By road
Take Highway 49 to the Glory Hole Recreation Area turnoff, then follow Glory Hole Road to the marina at 6503 Glory Hole Road, Angels Camp.
Launching your own boat
The public Glory Hole Point ramp is in the same recreation area. Gas-powered boats need either a completed 30-day red-seal quarantine or a marina decontamination wash before launching.
Booking decontamination
Reclamation directs boaters who want to skip quarantine to make a reservation with New Melones Lake Marina for a decontamination wash. Arrive with the boat clean, drained and dry to keep the process short.
By water
Boats already on the lake can reach the marina for fuel and supplies from the Glory Hole arm. Hours vary by season.
