About this marina
Status: the City of Martinez has run the marina itself since August 21, 2024, and has paused permits for new boats to moor while it plans a rebuild. Call the dock master before you come.
Martinez Marina sits on the Carquinez Strait at the foot of North Court Street in downtown Martinez.
On the water
The state boating directory lists about 280 slips for boats from 20 to 90 feet, four boarding floats, four carry-down walkways and about 60 parking spaces for cars with trailers. It also lists fuel, pump-out, haul-out and repair, a washdown area and transient berths. Some of these services may have changed since the city took over, so check first.
Silt and the rebuild
The marina's 1960s breakwater is wearing out and lets sediment into the basin, which limits depth even after dredging. In December 2025 the city council approved an exclusive negotiating agreement with Tucker Sadler Architects to study a rebuild. A March 2026 plan describes about 350 new or upgraded slips, a new breakwater and better launch facilities.
Nearby
The Ted and Kathy Radke Martinez Regional Shoreline park wraps around the marina.
