Marina guide
Markley Cove Resort
Napa, Napa County, CA
Overview
Markley Cove Resort is a full-service marina on Lake Berryessa at 7521 Highway 128, the road that links the lake with Winters and the Sacramento Valley. It serves both day boaters who trailer in and a large community of slip holders.
The marina
The state boating facilities directory lists Markley Cove with about 380 slips and tie-ups for boats from 15 to 60 feet. There are two boarding floats at the launch and about 90 parking spaces for vehicles with trailers. Services include fuel sales, a convenience store, tackle, ice, boat rentals, haul-out and repair, a boat washdown area, lodging, transient tie-ups and power on the docks, plus a sewage pump-out and oil disposal.
Launching under the seal program
Markley Cove is one of five Lake Berryessa locations the Bureau of Reclamation lists for boat launching. Since November 25, 2024, every launching boat must go through the lake's seal program. An inspected boat gets a 30-day red quarantine seal unless it is hot-water decontaminated by approved Solano County Water Agency staff, and a boat needs an exit seal when leaving to launch freely next time.
Good to know
The resort operates under a Reclamation concession, so call ahead for current launch hours and fees.

Quarantine or decontamination
An inspected boat receives a red quarantine seal for 30 days. To launch sooner, the boat can be hot-water decontaminated by approved Solano County Water Agency staff. Decontamination done elsewhere doesn't count unless a seal is applied.

Common boat service needs here
Hot-water-ready cleaning
Boats arriving at Berryessa are either quarantined for 30 days or hot-water decontaminated. A clean, fully drained boat moves through decontamination faster, so many owners book a wash and dry beforehand.
Find Boat Detailing & Washing providers →Slip-boat hull care
Boats kept in Markley Cove slips through a hot Napa summer build a scum line and algae. Regular hull cleaning keeps them presentable and reduces work at haul-out.
Find Bottom Cleaning, Hull Cleaning & Dive Services providers →Canvas and upholstery
Berryessa summers are hot and bright, and covers and seats on slipped boats fade and crack. Canvas repair and replacement is a steady need.
Find Canvas, Covers & Upholstery providers →Moorage
Because quarantine makes trailering in and out slower, more owners keep a boat in a slip at the lake and avoid repeating the 30-day wait.
