Marina Park Guest Marina
Newport Beach, Orange County, CA
Overview
Marina Park is the City of Newport Beach's guest marina, on the Balboa Peninsula at 1600 W. Balboa Boulevard. The 10.5-acre waterfront park opened on December 5, 2015, and combines a community and sailing center with a small marina for visiting boaters. It's run by the city's Harbor Department, which also handles the guest-slip reservations.
The guest slips
The marina has 23 guest slips in two sizes, 40-foot and 55-foot. Each slip has shore power (30 amp on slips 1 to 10, and 30 or 50 amp on slips 11 to 23), water and an in-slip pump-out. Guests also get free Wi-Fi, laundry, showers and restrooms. Check-in is at 1 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m., and the maximum continuous stay is 30 days.
Booking and rates
Slips can be reserved online up to six months ahead, or by phone at (949) 270-8159. The city's fee schedule effective July 1, 2026 lists $96 per night for a 40-foot slip and $133 per night for a 55-foot slip, plus an overhang charge per foot per night. Fees change each fiscal year, so confirm the rate when you book.
On shore
The park has a beach, picnic and barbecue areas, a nautical playground, a fitness circuit, basketball courts and the Lighthouse Bayside Cafe. The sailing center runs lessons and SUP and kayak rentals. The 177-space lot is paid by pay station or the ParkMobile app.
