Marina guide
Lauritzen Yacht Harbor
Oakley, Contra Costa County, CA
Overview
Lauritzen Yacht Harbor is a family-run Delta marina at 115 Lauritzen Lane in Oakley, right at the Antioch Bridge on the San Joaquin River. Many boaters call it an Antioch marina because of the bridge, but the street address is Oakley, in eastern Contra Costa County. It has served the boating public since 1959.
What's here
The harbor combines berths, boat storage, a launch ramp and fuel in one place. That makes it a handy jumping-off point for trailer boaters heading upriver into the Delta and for slip holders who want quick access to the wider San Joaquin. Marina directories list about 225 slips and around 400 dry-storage spaces. Related businesses on the property include Performance Marine and the Canvas Factory, so engine and canvas work can often be handled without leaving the harbor.
Boating from the Antioch Bridge
This is the western edge of the Delta, where the San Joaquin widens and the afternoon westerlies can kick up a short, steep chop. Plan crossings for the calmer morning hours, watch for commercial traffic in the river channel, and expect tidal current under the bridge.
Mussel prevention
The Delta is fresh water, and golden mussel was confirmed here in October 2024. Clean, drain and dry your boat and trailer every time you pull out.
Getting there & access
By road
The harbor is at 115 Lauritzen Lane in Oakley, beside the Antioch Bridge (Highway 160). It's a short drive from Highway 4 through Antioch or Oakley.
Launch ramp
There's a launch ramp on site, which puts trailer boats straight onto the San Joaquin River. Call (925) 757-1916 to confirm current launch fees and hours before you tow.
By water
The marina is beside the Antioch Bridge on the lower San Joaquin. Expect strong afternoon wind in summer, tidal current near the bridge piers and shipping traffic in the deep-water channel.
Fuel stop
Fuel is sold at the harbor, which is useful for boats heading east into the Delta or west toward Suisun Bay.
