Marina guide
Lake Perris Marina
Perris, Riverside County, CA
Overview
Lake Perris Marina is the concession hub of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, on the north side of the lake off Moreno Beach Drive. California State Parks runs the park, and the marina is operated by its concessionaire, Rec-Out SoCal. Trailer boaters stop here for ice and bait, renters pick up boats, and some owners keep boats in its dry storage yard.
What's at the marina
The marina store carries ice, firewood, cold drinks, bait, tackle, snacks and sand toys, and the Rec-Out Café food trailer serves food nearby. The state boating-facilities directory lists a washdown area, fuel sales, electricity and water on the dock, gear lockers and transient tie-ups, with dry storage sized for boats about 14 to 30 feet. Ask at the store about current fuel availability and storage openings.
Boating from here
Lake Perris runs a counterclockwise traffic pattern around Alessandro Island with a 35 mph limit and 5 mph zones between the shore and the buoy lines. Every vessel must pass a quagga and zebra mussel inspection before launching, and launching stops when the park reaches boating capacity. Summer weekends fill early.
Seasonal hours
On the summer schedule (roughly early March to early November) boating runs 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the last launch at 5:30 p.m. In winter it runs 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with the last launch at 4:30 p.m.
Getting there & access
By road
Lake Perris SRA is at 17801 Lake Perris Drive, about 11 miles south of Riverside via Highway 60 or I-215. From the north, exit Moreno Beach Drive and head south; from the south, exit Ramona Expressway and head east. The marina's facility address is on Moreno Beach Drive.
Paying and passes
Vehicle day use is $10 ($20 on special holiday, seasonal or weekend rates) and the boat launch is $10 per vessel, paid at the kiosk by card or cash or through the LAZ parking app. The California State Parks Boat Pass is accepted and sold at the kiosk.
Mussel inspection
Every vessel, motorized or not, is inspected before launch and must arrive clean, drained and dry. Any water, including rain or hose water, fails the inspection. A boat with water or mussels faces an eight-day quarantine and can't launch at Lake Perris, Silverwood Lake or Diamond Valley Lake.
Courtesy docks and fueling
You may tie up at a launch-ramp courtesy dock for up to 15 minutes to launch or retrieve, and you can't beach within 15 yards of a ramp. Shoreline refueling is prohibited, so fuel portable tanks in the parking lot.
Wind and weather
Personal watercraft, powerboats, kayaks and float tubes with less than 6 inches of freeboard must leave the water when winds reach 25 mph, and all vessels must be off at 39 mph or more. Watch for the posted wind warning system.

Common boat service needs here
Dry-out and pre-inspection prep
Perris fails any boat with standing water, so owners often book a cleaning and full drain-down of bilges, livewells and ballast before lake days to avoid the eight-day quarantine.
Find Boat Detailing & Washing providers →Engine service
Hot inland summers and long idle stretches in 5 mph zones are hard on cooling systems and impellers. Pre-season engine service keeps boats from being towed off a crowded lake.
Find Marine Mechanics & Engine Service providers →Oxidation and UV care
Boats in the open dry storage yard sit in strong Inland Empire sun, so chalky gelcoat and faded hulls are common. Compounding and a protective wax restore and protect them.

Covers, Bimini tops and vinyl seats break down quickly in outdoor storage here. Replacement covers are a steady need.
