Marina guide
Eureka Public Marina
Eureka, Humboldt County, CA
Overview
Eureka Public Marina is the City of Eureka's marina at 1 Marina Way on the Humboldt Bay waterfront, within walking distance of Old Town and downtown Eureka. It has about 150 slips with water and electricity, and it's one of the two places on the bay offering transient berths with power, along with Woodley Island Marina across the channel.
Launching here
The marina has a two-lane launch ramp with two boarding floats and a carry-down walkway, plus about 18 car-and-trailer parking spaces. It's a convenient in-town launch for fishing the bay or heading out across the Humboldt Bay bar.
Facilities
Shore side you'll find public restrooms, a tenant shower building with coin laundry, a fish cleaning station, sewage/bilge pump-out and used-oil disposal.
Before you head out
Leaving the bay means crossing the Humboldt Bay bar, a Coast Guard Regulated Navigation Area that can be restricted or closed, with notices on VHF 16 and 22A. Get a bar report from the Coast Guard at (707) 443-2212 or on VHF 22A, and remember the bar is always more dangerous on an outgoing tide.

Common boat service needs here
Trailer boat engine care
Boats launched here run in salt water and often cross the bar, so outboard flushing, impeller changes and regular engine service are the usual calls.
Find Marine Mechanics & Engine Service providers →Hull cleaning for slip boats
Boats kept in the marina's slips grow fouling in the bay's salt water. Diver cleaning keeps hulls and running gear clean between haul-outs.
Find Bottom Cleaning, Hull Cleaning & Dive Services providers →Washdowns and detailing
Salt spray and wet winters leave grime and mildew on boats kept here. Regular washdowns and detailing keep finishes and cushions in shape.
Find Boat Detailing & Washing providers →Covers and canvas
