Burton Chace Park Guest Docks
Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County, CA
Overview
The Burton Chace Park guest docks are Marina del Rey's public visitor docks and the main place to tie up if you arrive by boat without a reserved slip. They're run by LA County Beaches and Harbors and sit along the Main Channel at the end of Mindanao Way, wrapping around a roughly 10-acre waterfront park with lawns, picnic shelters and views across the whole harbor.
Two ways to tie up
There's a 4-hour day dock that's free and needs no registration. It's handy for lunch, a provisioning run or a pump-out stop. For overnight stays, berths are first-come, first-served. Boats can stay up to 7 nights within any 30-day period. The County doesn't take reservations, so arriving earlier in the day improves your chances on busy summer and holiday weekends.
What's on the dock
Overnight berths have 110-volt shore power and water. The park has restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi and a dog run, and groceries and shopping are nearby. A pump-out station is on the guest dock with 20 minutes of free tie-up time.
Events
The park is the hub for Marina del Rey's community events, including the summer concert series, MarinaFest and the Holiday Boat Parade. The docks fill early on those dates.
Getting there & access
By water
From the harbor entrance, follow the Main Channel inland at 5 knots. The guest docks line the channel at Burton Chace Park, at the end of Mindanao Way between Basins F and G. Boats over 50 feet should contact park staff before mooring.
Checking in
Check-in and check-out are both at noon. Bring a valid photo ID, current boat registration and proof of current boat insurance. Late check-out is charged at $10 per hour.
By land
Drive to the end of Mindanao Way off Admiralty Way. The park has accessible parking, and the County lists one fully accessible restroom at the Chace Park office.
