Marina guide
Brisbane Marina
Brisbane, San Mateo County, CA
Overview
Brisbane Marina is the City of Brisbane's municipal marina at Sierra Point, at 400 Sierra Point Parkway on the bay shore below San Bruno Mountain. The city calls it the closest marina to San Francisco: about 7 nautical miles from the Bay Bridge.
Layout
The marina was completed in 1983. It holds 580 berths for boats roughly 30 to 66 feet, and the city says vessels up to 100 feet may be accommodated. Visiting boats tie up at the guest dock on Dock 1. The Sierra Point Yacht Club is based here, and a 300-foot public fishing pier and the San Francisco Bay Trail run along the shoreline.
Who keeps a boat here
Owners from San Francisco and the Peninsula use Brisbane as a quieter base with quick access to the Central Bay, the city waterfront and Angel Island. Tenants must be California residents and carry liability insurance naming the marina.
Good to know
The office monitors VHF channel 16 during business hours. Guest berthing is by advance arrangement only: call ahead and email your documents before you arrive.

Common boat service needs here
Diver hull cleaning
Boats that sit in a South Bay slip between outings foul quickly; regular diver cleaning keeps bottoms clean between haul-outs.
Find Bottom Cleaning, Hull Cleaning & Dive Services providers →Pre-berthing surveys
The city requires a recent survey for boats 15 years or older, so owners moving an older boat here often need a marine surveyor first.
