Bidwell Canyon Marina is the main full-service marina on Lake Oroville in Butte County, at 801 Bidwell Canyon Road in Oroville. It operates within Lake Oroville State Recreation Area and is listed by California's boating facilities directory as a marina with dry storage and mooring fields. The directory lists about 500 moorings and boats up to 90 feet.

Rentals

Renters must be 21 with a valid driver's license, and children 12 and under must always wear a life vest. The operator says overnight boating requires onboard bathroom facilities or an overnight campground stay under state regulations.

Boats can be kept in slips, on buoys or in dry storage. The marina has a wet fuel dock with propane and maintenance supplies, a store with bait, tackle and provisions, and a bar and grill. The state listing also shows restrooms, showers, ice and transient berths. A shuttle runs daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The ramp next door

The Bidwell Canyon launch lists 350 trailer-parking spaces and a boat washdown area. On State Parks' ramp status page dated April 29, 2026 it was open at Stage 1 for lake elevations of 900 down to 740 feet. Check current lake levels before you tow. The Department of Water Resources ended mandatory mussel inspections at Lake Oroville that day, and Clean, Drain, Dry is still asked of every boater.
