About this lake

Twin Lakes are two lakes about 10 miles south of Bridgeport on Twin Lakes Road, in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Upper Twin Lake

Annett's Mono Village at the head of the upper lake has three boarding floats, parking for about 30 cars with trailers, launching valet service, boat rentals, fuel, repair and haul-out, dry storage for about 50 boats, a campground, lodging, a restaurant and a store.

Lower Twin Lake

Twin Lakes Resort has a launch with a carry-down walkway, boat rentals, fuel, cabins and campsites. The Forest Service's Lower Twin Lake boat ramp, next to Lower Twin Lakes Campground, is a free put-in for non-motorized boats, open 24 hours.

Mussel rule

Trailered boats need the free Eastern Sierra mussel inspection and sticker before launching.

Getting there & access

Getting there

From Bridgeport drive about 10 miles south on Twin Lakes Road. For the Forest Service paddle launch, turn left on South Twin Road and go 0.5 miles.

Mussel inspection

Since April 2026, Mono County requires every trailered boat and jet ski to be inspected before launching. Inspections, decontamination and the Eastern Sierra mussel sticker are free at Eastern Sierra WID stations (list at EasternSierraWID.com). Residents inspect once a year; visitors inspect on entering Mono or Inyo County, and again after launching anywhere outside the two counties. Arrive clean, drained and dry.
