About this lake
Sunbeam Lake is an Imperial County park lake about 7 miles west of El Centro, near Seeley.
On the water
The county lists fishing and boating. Anglers catch channel catfish, black bass, carp and sunfish. The state's fish advisory (2023) says adult men and women over 50 can safely eat up to seven servings a week of channel catfish, five of black bass and four of carp or sunfish; women 18 to 49 and children should limit black bass to two servings. California requires a Mussel Fee Sticker on boats used in fresh water.
