About this lake

Lake Yosemite is a lake on North Lake Road in Merced. Since February 1, 2026, the Merced Irrigation District runs the park and its reservations instead of Merced County.

On the water

The park has a boat launch ramp with parking, kayak and paddleboard rentals and a swimming beach. The Lake Yosemite Sailing Association promotes sailing on the lake. Boats must be off the lake 30 minutes before sunset. Annual vehicle and boat passes work at Lake Yosemite, Lake McSwain and Lake McClure. California requires a Mussel Fee Sticker on boats used in fresh water.

Day use

Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and close an hour after sunset. There are playgrounds, restrooms, beach volleyball and picnic areas, and coves and buildings that can be reserved for groups.
