About this lake
Jackson Meadows Reservoir sits at 6,045 feet in the Tahoe National Forest, about 6 miles from Sierra City and 35 miles from Truckee. The Nevada Irrigation District runs the 1965 dam, and the Pacific Crest Trail runs along the east side.
On the water
Power boats and paddle craft are both allowed. The Pass Creek ramp has a boarding float and parking for about 80 cars with trailers; a second ramp is at Woodcamp Creek.
Camping and fishing
About 280 sites spread across campgrounds including Pass Creek, Woodcamp, Fir Top, Findley, Aspen, East Meadows and the Jackson Point boat-in camp. Anglers catch rainbow and brown trout.

Getting there
Take Highway 89 and Forest Route 07 toward the Pass Creek ramp; Woodcamp is reached by Meadow Lake Road.
Season
Gates and ramps close in the off-season; call the Sierraville Ranger District before a late-season trip.
