About this lake

Indian Valley Reservoir is a remote lake in the hills east of Clear Lake, with recreation run by the BLM and Yolo County. A 10 mph limit keeps it quiet.

On the water

Boats are limited to 10 mph, and 5 mph within 200 yards of shore. The water drops low by late summer, so check levels before towing.

Fishing and camping

Anglers catch bass, kokanee, crappie, trout and catfish. Blue Oaks has 6 free BLM sites, Kowalski is a boat-in or hike-in camp, and Yolo County runs an RV campground near the dam. Access is on gravel Walker Ridge Road.
