About this lake
Gull Lake is on the June Lake Loop in the village of June Lake, at about 7,500 feet.
On the water
Gull Lake Marina has a launch with a boarding float, parking for about 12 cars with trailers, boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, tackle and a snack bar. Trailered boats need the free Eastern Sierra mussel inspection and sticker before launching.
Car-top launch
The Forest Service's Gull Meadows launch is a free, day-use put-in for kayaks, canoes and paddleboards, with flush toilets but no drinking water. The Forest Service recommends a high-clearance 4x4 to reach it.
Getting there & access
Getting there
Take Highway 158 into June Lake; the marina is on Granite Avenue.
Gull Meadows
The car-top launch is for paddle craft only, and the Forest Service recommends a high-clearance 4x4.
Mussel inspection
Since April 2026, Mono County requires every trailered boat and jet ski to be inspected before launching. Inspections, decontamination and the Eastern Sierra mussel sticker are free at Eastern Sierra WID stations (list at EasternSierraWID.com). Residents inspect once a year; visitors inspect on entering Mono or Inyo County, and again after launching anywhere outside the two counties. Arrive clean, drained and dry.
