About this lake
Gold Lake is the largest lake in the Lakes Basin Recreation Area of the Plumas National Forest, above Graeagle.
On the water
The launch has a two-lane concrete ramp, a seasonal loading dock and a large parking area. Launching and day use cost $10, or $85 for an annual pass from the campground hosts. The Forest Service says there will be no fees, services or boat dock after October 11, 2026, when the season winds down.
Camping and fishing
Two campgrounds sit on the lake. Fishing is popular, but it isn't allowed near the boating facilities.

Gold Lake is reached by Gold Lake Road in the Lakes Basin near Graeagle.
Late season
After October 11, 2026, the dock is pulled and there are no services; launch conditions are up to you.
