About this lake
East Park Reservoir is a Bureau of Reclamation lake in the foothills of the Mendocino National Forest near Stonyford, with a 25-mile shoreline. Colusa County manages the recreation area and takes reservations and passes for camping, boat launches, groups and day use.
On the water
There are two natural-surface boat launches. The lake holds largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill, with good fishing year-round and the best bass fishing in autumn. The lake is subject to seasonal closure, so call ahead. Reclamation asks boaters to self-certify for invasive mussels before launching; forms are at the launch.
Wildlife
The reservoir lies on a migratory corridor, with warbler movements in late April, early May and September.
