About this lake
Boca Reservoir is a roughly 980-acre reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest just off Interstate 80 east of Truckee.
On the water
Power boating, waterskiing, windsurfing, paddling and swimming are all allowed. The state boating database lists a launch with parking for about 35 cars and trailers. Day use is free, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Fishing
Kokanee salmon and rainbow, brook and brown trout are caught year-round, with ice fishing in winter. An accessible ramp with fishing platforms is usable when the water is high enough.
