Overview
High Seas Fuel Dock is a public fuel dock at 2540 Shelter Island Drive in San Diego. It is on the northeast side of the Shelter Island causeway in the Commercial Basin, close to the bay entrance, which makes it a convenient last stop before heading out past Point Loma.
What it offers
The dock sells diesel and gasoline, and also offers full-service oil changes, waste-oil disposal, replacement filters, bulk oil and fresh water. Boaters monitor VHF 79A. BoatUS members get a per-gallon discount with a valid card.

The Port of San Diego lists seasonal hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer. Call 619-523-2980 to confirm before you go. The dock itself is not listed as a pump-out; free public pump-outs are at the Harbor Police and guest dock complex at 1401 Shelter Island Drive. Pearson Marine Services, another fuel dock, is at 2435 Shelter Island Drive.

By water
Enter San Diego Bay around Point Loma and Ballast Point and follow the Shelter Island channel at 5 mph. The dock is on the northeast side of the Shelter Island causeway in the Commercial Basin. Call on VHF 79A.
By road
The dock is at 2540 Shelter Island Drive.
