Overview
LA County Beaches and Harbors runs public boat storage in Marina del Rey for owners who don't need, or can't get, a wet slip. It's split across a few sites: dry storage for powerboats at Dock 77, mast-up storage for small sailboats at the public launch ramp, and racks for dinghies, paddleboards, rowing shells and kayaks.
Powerboat dry storage at Dock 77
Dock 77, at 13560 Mindanao Way, stores powerboats up to 40 feet out of the water. Dry storage keeps hulls free of marine growth and cuts the need for frequent bottom cleaning and paint, a real saving in Marina del Rey's warm salt water.
Sailboat mast-up storage
Sailboats from 15 to 31 feet can be stored mast-up at the public launch ramp, 13477 Fiji Way. It's a popular choice for trailer sailors and small one-design racers because they can rig and launch without unstepping the mast.
Small craft
Dinghies, paddleboards, rowing shells and kayaks can be stored at Dock 77, the launch ramp, or Marina "Mother's" Beach. There's currently a waitlist, so call the Boating Section to be added.

Getting a space
Contact the County Boating Section at (424) 526-7890 or boating@bh.lacounty.gov, 8am–5pm daily except holidays, for availability, current rates and the waitlist. Credit cards are accepted in person, and checks can be mailed to Financial Services.
Launching from storage
Mast-up storage sits right at the County launch ramp, which is open 24 hours.
