About this beach

Redondo Beach runs more than a mile and a half south from the Redondo Beach Pier to Torrance Beach. It's good for swimming, surfing and windsurfing, with volleyball nets on the sand, and the horseshoe-shaped pier has fishing, restaurants and shops.

Access

The Avenue A ramp has been closed since November 2021 because its retaining wall failed. LA County plans to replace it with an ADA ramp and stairway, with construction planned for 2027–2028. Until then, use the Avenue C stairs and ramp or the Knob Hill stairs, both less than a quarter mile away.

Facilities

There are restrooms and showers, a parking structure at the pier and street parking.

Rules

LA County beach rules apply: no dogs, alcohol, smoking, glass, fires or barbecues, and no loitering between midnight and 6 a.m.

Getting there & access

Getting down

Use the Avenue C stairs and ramp or the Knob Hill stairs. The Avenue A ramp is fenced off.
