About this beach
Fletcher Cove is Solana Beach's main beach access, at the end of Lomas Santa Fe. It's home to the city's Marine Safety headquarters and is used for surfing, swimming, body-boarding, surf fishing and beach walks.
Lifeguards
Lifeguards are on duty year-round, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer.
Getting there
There's a public lot plus free street parking, and the Solana Beach train station (Amtrak and the Coaster) is a few hundred yards away.
Facilities
There are public restrooms and showers, picnic tables, a basketball court and a beach clean-up station.
Rules
No dogs, alcohol, glass or smoking. Fires are allowed 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. only in fire rings, barbecues or similar containers, and groups of 25 or more need a special event permit.
